Sophomores will be taking the Utah Basic Skills Competency Test February 2, 3, and 4. Juniors and seniors won't need to be at school until 10 AM on those days.

CHAMBER CHOIR HEADED TO CARNEGIE HALL!

Last year the Chamber Choir auditioned to be part of a Grand Concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC as a featured high school choir during this school year. They were chosen from among hundreds of high schools for this prestigious honor! In March they will one of only two high schools to perform. If you would like to contribute to the choir's trip, contact Jocelyn Parmer (801-766-9162) or make contributions to the Alpine Foundation (designated to LPHS Carnegie Choir Trip). We are very proud of our talented singers past, present and future, and their wonderful director, Lois Johnson.!
ACT PREP CLASSES

Get prepared for the ACT test by taking Lone Peak's ACT Prep Courses. English is Mar. 22-25 and Math is Mar. 29-April 1. Classes begin at 2:30 and end at 4:00 in the Little Theater. Cost is $15.
The PTSA Needs Parents from Highland and Cedar Hills

The PTSA is well-represented with parents from Alpine, but need interested parents from Highland and Cedar Hills to round out next year's board. Family Portraits for $20!

Support Lone Peak High School Choirs and get a family portrait provided by Scott Hancock Photography for only $20 which includes a family sitting and 1 8 x 10 portrait. Schedule your family sitting for between January 31 and April, 2010 by calling (801) 785-8317.
Attendance School

Attendance School for 2ND QUARTER ONLY (not the current 3rd quarter) will be open again January 19 - 29 from 6:15 - 7:15 AM every school day. There will be a 1:30 PM session on January 25th. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday AM are FREE sessions. $3 in advance or $5 if paid after for sessions on Monday afternoon and Thursday and Friday mornings.

FOOD ALLERGIES

If you have a food allergy, it is important that the administrators at Lone Peak are aware of it. Please download the Alpine School District special diet form and bring it into the school office so that a plan can be made up for you in case of exposure. Alpine School District's Peanut and Severe Food Allergy plan was adopted at the last Board meeting and can be viewed here.
