ASVAB for Juniors
- This is the FREE Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery,
the best aptitude test available. It provides students with
valuable feedback about job and vocational skills.
- Juniors who wish to take the test will meet in the Cafeteria
at 7:45 a.m.
- This test is highly encouraged for all juniors, but it is not
required.
Criterion Reference Testing Schedule
The Core (CRT) testing is given at the end of each year measuring
how well students are learning the core curriculum in Math, Science
and English. These tests are part of the Utah Performance Assessment. The
window for testing this year is from April 20 to May 15. All
students are required to take these tests in their core classes. Students
may check with their teachers to determine specific test dates.
- Math: Algebra and Geometry
- Science: Biology, Physics, and Chemistry
- English: 10th and 11th grades
PLAN Test for Sophomores
- The PLAN test is an important step toward making college a reality. It
helps identify skills and knowledge needed to succeed in college
and shows areas where extra help or additional courses are needed.

A makeup test for 11th and 12th grade students that still need to
pass one or more sections of the
Utah Basic Skills Competency
Test for 10th – 11th – and
12th Graders
The UBSCT will be administered to all 10th grade students, and 11th
and 12th grade students that still need to pass one or more sections
according to the following schedule: FEBRUARY 3–WRITING,
FEBRUARY 4–MATH, FEBRUARY 5–READING. Students will
report to their assigned testing advisor at the beginning of each
day. Bring a #2 pencil and a calculator for the Math test. (make-up
date February 6 in the Little Theatre)
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Tests
The
ASVAB will be administered to 11th Grade Students October. The
ASVAB explores interests, skills, and work-related values and provides
career information resources.
Preliminary ACT Test (PLAN)
PLAN
test results assist students and parents in making choices about
courses to be taken in the remaining high school years. The
PLAN also gives you an estimated ACT score in preparation for college.
College Tour
--All Utah Colleges and Universities send representatives to our school. Seniors
will choose three schools to meet with. They will be given valuable
information about admissions, scholarships, and special programs at
their chosen schools.
--This is a required activity for seniors.
Preliminary SAT Test (PSAT/NMSQT)
The PSAT/NMSQT is the National Merit Scholarship
qualifying test. The test is optional and students will need
to sign up and prepay a fee of $15.00 in the finance office.
